1. THINGS KEEPERS CAN BRING (also see not to bring list below)

    1. Comfortable layers of casual clothing and work clothes to be outdoors at different temperatures.

    2. Shoes and work boots with soft, non-skid, non-leather soles.

    3. Rain gear (we suggest tops, bottoms and boots). We have a few slickers at the lighthouse.

    4. Work gloves, rubber gloves, safety goggles and dust masks for painting, clean-up and construction projects

    5. Notebooks, paper, pads, pencils, pens, and/or clip board for your personal notes.

    6. Contact us about bringing additional small tools, measuring tapes and the like, which will depend on the projects you choose. Make sure they are marked with your name, unless of course you want to donate them when you're done.

    7. Paper products such as paper towels, napkins and plates (if you want to save water), plastic and foil food wrap, zip-lock bags, etc. The only paper product we provide is Scott toilet paper that our septic system likes.

    8. Sun hat, sun screen and sun glasses (Polarized sun glasses are really great for seeing past the glare and down into the water!)

    9. Medications you will need (refrigeration is available in the apartment)

    10. Personal first aid kit

    11. Travel alarm clock

    12. Flashlight with extra batteries (rechargeable or wind up flashlights are GREAT!)

    13. Binoculars (we've got some, but most of them rattle a bit after someone's dropped them)

    14. Beach shoes (not flip flops, but any kind that will stay on your feet)

    15. Bath soap and shampoo (we provide liquid Joy in a refillable container that's good for washing dishes, hands, and everything else)

    16. Bait, fishing poles, and tackle box for salt water surf casting. Best bait for striped bass & bluefish are sea worms, squid, and pogies (frozen or fresh). We provide a lobster pot ONLY for fishing off the lighthouse float. Best bait is the rack, head and guts from a striped bass (after you've caught and filleted it for the BBQ). Raw chicken backs are good too. Easy to bring them frozen.
